After a successful first season in 2011, we are pleased to offer The Ark for a second year. Still offering amazing value for a property in such a stunning location and high standards, we invite you to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area or take a stroll down to the beach before breakfast!
The Ark is situated on the edge of the old smugglers’ village of Ringmore, which boasts its own beach and The Journeys End, a 16th century Inn. The coastal path is approximately ¼ mile away, along a National Trust path, which runs in front of the property. Strictly non smoking and not suitable for young children.
The Ark is tastefully and comfortably furnished and is set in an acre of garden with wonderful views over Burgh Island with its 1930’s hotel and the Pilchard Inn, which offers peace and tranquility for those looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Check Weekly Rates and Short Break prices here .
Sleeping Accommodation: 3 double bedrooms. Master en suite and large bathroom with bath, w.c. hand basin and walk in shower.
Entrance porch into large hall leading to a light and airy lounge with wood burning stove. Double French doors onto patio. Comfortable 3 piece suite, TV with Freeview and DVD player.
Separate dining room which comfortably seats 6 people.
Fully fitted kitchen with microwave, fridge, separate freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
3 double bedrooms, master en-suite and large bathroom with bath, w.c. hand basin and walk-in shower.
Upstairs lounge (The Crows Nest) with easy chairs and a desk for those wishing to access the Internet or use as a working holiday. From here, a door leads to a small balcony with stunning views of Burgh Island and The English Channel.
Outside: Set in an acre of gardens, there is a tiled patio area with table and chairs which overlooks the orchard. Further down the garden is the “Mediterranean garden” which has a seating area for two and perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. At the front there is sufficient parking space for three cars.
