Moorview Lodges in conjunction with Discovery Surf School are now offering surfing holidays which combine beautiful log cabin holidays in a deciduous woodland with expert surfing tuition on the golden sandy beaches of South Devon.

Discovery Surf School provides professional coaching for all ages and levels, with an emphasis on safe, quality tuition in small groups. Learn to surf in safety with a beginner lesson, or develop your surfing skills with an advanced coaching session.

2008 TERMS AND CONDITIONS apply from 6th January 2008 (Please read in full.) 1: Holiday tenancies are for a minimum of one week unless otherwise agreed. 2: Rents shown are per week. Everything is provided for use including linen and towels (from 6th January 2008, but not bookings before this date unless agreed) 3: Arrivals between 3.00pm and 6.00pm only please. The properties are available for occupation from 3:00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure. 4: Bookings made more than 35 days before arrival a deposit of one third of the total rent is payable on booking. For bookings made less than 35 days before arrival the full rent is payable on booking together with the security deposit. When you book your property you should pay the amount then due by debit or credit card, or by sending a cheque to Moor View Lodges. Providing the booking can be confirmed, we will then send you email confirmation of your booking or written confirmation in the case of cheque deposits. Confirmation will show your booking details and the balance of your total holiday cost including security deposit. The balance and security deposit must be received by us no less than 35 days before your arrival date at the property. If you book less than 35 days before your arrival date, payment of your total holiday cost (including security deposit) is due straightaway. For properties booked less than 21 days before your arrival date your booking must be paid for in full by debit or credit card or cash - cheques not accepted. Your security deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure once the property has been checked for any damage and breakages. 5: Payment for Outstanding Balance. Please note, once confirmation of booking has been issued, you are liable for the total rent. The balance of rent must be paid at least 35 days before arrival without further demand. Upon receipt of final balance, acknowledgment of the balance payment will detail arrangements for access to the property. If any payment due in relation to your booking is not paid by the appropriate date, then we are entitled to assume that you wish to cancel your booking. In this case, we will be entitled to keep all deposits paid or due at that date. 6: Cancellations. If you have to, or wish to cancel your booking; you must telephone Moor View on the number shown on your booking confirmation as soon as possible. The day we receive your telephone notification of cancellation is the date on which your booking is cancelled - we will not accept cancellations left via answer phone message. NUMBER OF DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE THAT NOTIFICATION OF CANCELLATION IS RECEIVED: More than 56 days - full Refund of all monies paid. More than 35 days but less than 56 days - Full refund of all monies paid minus £25.00 cancellation administration fee. More than 28 days but less than 35 days - 85% of cost charged + £25.00 cancellation administration fee. 28 days or less - Total cost charged. 7: Pets. It is regretted that domestic animals are only accepted in a limited number of properties. Two well-behaved dogs only please at a charge of £20.00 per dog per week or part therof. Animals must never be left unattended at the property. Animals should not be allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture and must be kept under control at all times. 8: Specific Requirements: Everything is provided for use, however if you have any specific needs, please check with us before making your booking to ensure that your requirements are covered. 9: Equipment Failure: Every effort is made to ensure all items of equipment described and supplied are in good working order; however no guarantee is given or liability accepted if any Breakdown occurs. Repairs are always effected as soon as possible, although inevitably delays do occur. Legal requirements for guests to observe when staying at Moor View: 10: Guests shall not do or suffer to be done in or upon the property any act or thing which may be a nuisance, damage or annoyance to other occupiers of any adjoining premises. 11: Guests will preserve the furniture in the premises from being destroyed or damaged and will keep the furniture in a clean and sanitary condition. The guest will pay to Moor View Lodges the value of all objects of furniture or house hold effects lost, destroyed or damaged beyond repair, further payment will be required if the total of the security deposit does not cover the total cost of repair or replacement of damaged property. 12: The personal belongings of the guest are the complete responsibility of the guest and no liability can be accepted for any loss or damage. Any articles left by the guest can be forwarded on receipt of a minimum handling fee of £10.00. 13: Properties are equipped and offered for the number of persons stated on the website and parties in excess of these numbers cannot be accepted. 14: The property and all equipment, utensils, etc. must be left clean and tidy at the end of the stay and the guest will deliver up the property in a state consistent with due performance of the obligations of the guest herein contained. Should it be found that an excessive amount of cleaning is required a charge will be made. 15: Security Deposit. A Security Deposit is payable with, and in addition to, the balance (or full) payment of the holiday. The deposit is held in lieu of the obligations set out in Point 14 above and deductions will be made where applicable. The Security Deposit is normally refunded in full within 7 days of departure, subject to a satisfactory inspection of the Property by the Agency or nominated representative. 16: Moor View Lodges reserve the right to terminate the stay immediately if any of the above conditions are not observed. 17: Bookings accepted at the discretion of Moor View Lodges. 18. Bookings are not deemed to be confirmed or accepted until Moor View Lodges confirms the booking by email or letter, and the required deposit is received and cleared in full. 19. In the very unlikely event that a Property is withdrawn by an Owner, for reasons out of the control of the Agency (e.g. by fire, sale etc.) the Tenancy shall be cancelled and the rent paid shall be refunded. The Tenant shall not be entitled to any further damages although every effort will be made to offer a suitable alternative for the dates chosen. 20. The conditions supersede all those issued before.
